About Nick 

Hello, my name is Nick Allam and I'm an independent celebrant based in Bedfordshire.


For many years I worked in the hospitality industry, working in and running hotels across the country. The purpose of my role was to understand the needs of my customers, with the aim of ensuring that these were exceeded. This applied to all my customers: be they overnight stays, dinner guests, wedding parties or funeral gatherings. My goal was to deliver the highest level of customer service.


When my family came along, I changed to a more regular career: working with trains, first on the mainline and then with the underground. This perfectly complimented the geek within me.


Now it's time for another change.  It is a huge privilege to be part of a couples wedding day.  Not only do I appreciate it as one of the most important days of their lives, but it is

Whilst it may be of benefit to both parties to meet in person to discuss your perfect ceremony, I appreciate times have changed.

 

I am equally as happy to meet over the phone or via Zoom,  WhatsApp or other app, according to your wishes.

I believe every love story is unique, and your wedding ceremony should be too. As a celebrant, my role is to listen, understand, and help craft a ceremony that truly reflects who you are as a couple. Whether you’re dreaming of something light-hearted and fun, heartfelt and traditional, or completely one-of-a-kind, I’ll work with you to bring it to life.   My goal is to create a ceremony that feels personal, memorable, and meaningful – a moment you and your guests will treasure.


HOWEVER...A bespoke personal service is not for everyone! I also offer very traditional ceremonies for those who would like a ceremony as part of their big day, but without the fuss.


With a calm, friendly approach, I’ll guide you through the process step by step, taking care of the details so you can relax and focus on the joy of the day.


I would be honoured to be part of your wedding and to help celebrate the beginning of your next chapter together.

Memorial Services

Allow me to assist you in planning a memorial service for your loved one.  You may not have been able to say goodbye as you would have liked due to the Covid-19 restrictions .

I can facilitate a special memorial service to help you say goodbye with friends and family.

    Such a memorial can take place at home, in a community hall or even in your garden. 


    Like a funeral service, I will direct the occasion for you acting as the master of ceremonies and delivering a eulogy.  Between us we can be flexible on the length of service, the number of people who wish to speak and could incorporate other aspects such as the committal of ashes or the planting of a tree.  I have a number of ideas we could discuss.
